Counselling

You might be here because…

You’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of yourself.

You might be overthinking everything, shutting down, or trying to hold it all together on the outside, while it feels very different underneath.

You might be used to coping, masking how you feel, or just getting on with things, even when it is exhausting.

You do not need to have the right words or a clear reason to start.

If something does not feel right, that is enough.

What counselling with me is like

Counselling with me is calm, gentle, and led by you.

As someone with ADHD myself, I understand that it is not always easy to explain what is going on in a neat or linear way. You do not have to have the right words, stay on one topic, or make everything make sense straight away.

You do not have to perform, explain everything perfectly, or try to be anything other than yourself.

We can go at your pace. Sometimes that might mean gently exploring what has been happening. Sometimes it might mean sitting with things that feel harder to put into words.

I will not analyse you or tell you what to do.

Instead, we will work together to make sense of what is coming up for you, in a way that feels safe, manageable, and meaningful.

You can bring whatever feels hard to carry on your own.

  •  anxiety, overwhelm, or burnout
  • feeling stuck or lost
  • relationship difficulties
  • low mood or self-doubt
  • identity and self-understanding
  • neurodivergence, including ADHD, autism, or exploring this.

Anything that feels too much to hold alone. You do not need to filter it, organise it, or make it sound “serious enough” before reaching out.

Neurodivergent-affirming counselling

I work with many clients who are neurodivergent, or beginning to explore that part of themselves.

You might have spent years trying to fit into ways of thinking, coping, or living that do not actually work for you.

Counselling can be a space to understand yourself differently, without pressure to change who you are. It can also be a space to explore masking, burnout, late diagnosis, identity, relationships, emotional overwhelm, and what support might look like when it actually fits you.

Trauma and Rewind Technique

I also offer support for people who have experienced distressing or overwhelming events.

I am trained in the Rewind Technique, which can support the processing of traumatic memories without needing to talk through every detail of what happened.

This can be helpful if talking about the experience feels too much, or if you want a more contained way of working with trauma.

The pace is always led by you, with a focus on safety, choice, and reducing distress in a way that feels manageable.

Creative and inner work

Sometimes it is hard to put things into words.

You might know something does not feel right, but explaining it can feel overwhelming, exposing, or just out of reach.

This is where we can work more creatively. We might use simple tools such as imagery, drawing, visual prompts, or gentle reflection to explore what is coming up for you in a way that feels safer and more manageable.

There is no pressure to explain everything perfectly. We can find a way in that works for you.

Inner child and past experiences

We can also explore the younger parts of you that may have experienced hurt, confusion, emotional neglect, or not feeling fully understood.

These parts can sometimes show up in how you cope now, especially around confidence, relationships, boundaries, people-pleasing, self-worth, and how safe it feels to be yourself.

This is not about going back and reliving everything.

It is about understanding those parts of you with more compassion, and noticing what they might need now.

We can do this slowly, carefully, and only when it feels right for you.

What’s been feeling difficult for you?

You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out.

If something here feels familiar, or you are wondering whether counselling might be right for you, you are welcome to get in touch.

We can have a gentle conversation about what you are looking for, what feels hard at the moment, and whether I might be the right person to support you.

There is no pressure to know exactly what you need.

We can take it from there.
