Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: July 2026

At Toni Denton Counselling & Coaching, I am committed to making my website and services as accessible, inclusive and welcoming as possible.

I believe that everyone should be able to access information and support with dignity, regardless of disability, neurodivergence, health condition, age or the technology they use.

I recognise that accessibility is an ongoing process, and I am continually reviewing and improving both my website and the way I provide services.

My commitment

I aim to:

Make information easy to read and understand.

Use clear, straightforward language wherever possible.

Design pages that are simple to navigate.

Ensure content can be accessed across a range of devices.

Consider the needs of autistic, ADHD and other neurodivergent individuals.

Provide reasonable adjustments wherever possible.

Website accessibility

I aim for my website to be compatible with modern browsers and assistive technologies.

Where possible, the website has been designed to:

work on desktop, tablet and mobile devices;

support keyboard navigation;

include clear headings and page structure;

use readable fonts and appropriate colour contrast;

include alternative text for images where appropriate;

avoid unnecessary animation or flashing content;

use meaningful links and buttons.

Although every effort is made to improve accessibility, some third-party content or embedded services may not always meet the same accessibility standards.

Neurodiversity-affirming practice

As a counsellor and coach specialising in neurodiversity, I understand that accessibility is about much more than physical access.

Many people benefit from information being presented in ways that reduce cognitive load and support different communication styles.

Reasonable adjustments may include:

clear and direct communication;

providing information in advance where appropriate;

allowing additional processing time;

offering written summaries or resources where agreed;

flexibility around communication preferences;

avoiding unnecessary jargon;

discussing sensory preferences before sessions.

I encourage clients to let me know what helps them feel most comfortable.

Online sessions

For clients attending online sessions, I aim to provide:

simple joining instructions;

secure video platforms;

flexibility if technical difficulties arise;

support with accessing sessions where possible.

If technology presents a barrier, we can discuss alternative arrangements.

In-person sessions

Where face-to-face appointments are available, I will do my best to discuss any accessibility requirements before your appointment.

Examples may include:

mobility access;

sensory considerations;

seating preferences;

lighting adjustments where possible;

allowing extra time if required.

If there is anything that would help you access the service more comfortably, please let me know before your appointment.

Alternative formats

If you need information in a different format, I will do my best to accommodate your request.

This may include:

larger text;

accessible digital documents;

plain English versions;

additional spacing or simplified formatting where appropriate.

If another adjustment would make information easier to access, please ask.

Communication preferences

I recognise that everyone communicates differently.

Where appropriate, I can accommodate preferences such as:

email communication;

telephone communication;

video appointments;

allowing additional response time;

providing written confirmation of appointments;

discussing expectations before the first session.

Continuous improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing process rather than a one-time achievement.

I regularly review my website, resources and ways of working to improve accessibility and welcome constructive feedback.

If you experience any barriers while using my website or accessing my services, I would appreciate you letting me know so I can consider improvements.

Feedback

If you have difficulty accessing any part of this website or require reasonable adjustments, please get in touch.

I will do my best to respond promptly and work with you to find an appropriate solution.
